About the UT Arboretum Society

Founded in 1965, the UT Arboretum Society is one of the oldest support organizations for the University of Tennessee.  We sponsor educational lectures and workshops and family activities throughout the year at the Arboretum and we conduct fund-raising activities to support the operation and for targeted needs of the Arboretum.

The trails are open 8am until dusk.
Our Visitor Center is open Monday-Friday 8am- 4:30 pm, closed 12pm-1pm daily.
There are no public restrooms in the Visitor Center. Portable restrooms for the public are available in the Visitors Center parking lot.
The parking lot is usually open 8am until dusk every day but may be impacted by University of Tennessee closures.

We hold a plant sale in the spring, Bug Camp in the summer, the Butterfly Festival in the fall and free programs throughout the year.

All memberships and donations to the University of Tennessee Arboretum Society (EIN 62-6063392), a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Members have access to a library of the virtual programs.
