The UT Arboretum Society’s Third Saturday Hike on September 21st will be our annual Fall Wildflower Hike with Kris Light and the location is moved to Haw Ridge Park. No pets please. Service animals always welcome. Meet at 9am by the Soccer Trail Kiosk in the parking lot off Edgemoor Road-no reservations are needed. Time 9am-11am. (Map Link Below)
Kris Light, an expert naturalist, environmental educator and photographer will lead this fun, educational and easy walk. Participants may want to bring a camera to take pictures of the many wildflowers. Please bring water, wear clothes appropriate to the weather and boots or good shoes for outdoor walking.
Describing the walk, Light said, “Most people think of springtime as wildflower season, but late summer and fall color the fields and roadsides in gold, purple and white. Come to the fall wildflower walk to learn more about the wildflowers of the fields. “
